These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of getroomlift.com and any purchase you make from Roomlift. By using the site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.

1. Who we are

Roomlift is a registered Ontario sole proprietorship, operated from Ontario, Canada.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old (and the age of majority in your jurisdiction, if higher) to place an order. By ordering, you confirm you meet this requirement.

3. Products and pricing

We try to describe products accurately, including dimensions, materials, and intended use. Real-world product appearance may vary slightly from photos due to monitor color, lighting, and small manufacturing variations. Prices are shown in USD by default and converted at checkout into your local currency by Shopify's rate provider. We reserve the right to correct pricing errors and to limit purchase quantities.

4. Order acceptance

Your order is an offer to buy, not a binding contract. We may decline an order for reasons including: stock-out, pricing error, address we cannot ship to, suspected fraud. If we decline, we refund any charge in full.

5. Shipping and fulfillment

Roomlift ships from US-based fulfillment partners to the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand. Typical processing is 1 to 3 business days; typical transit is 3 to 7 business days. Shipping times are estimates, not guarantees. Customs, duties, or import fees on cross-border orders are the buyer's responsibility unless explicitly stated otherwise on the product page.

6. Returns and refunds

We offer a 10-day money-back guarantee. Contact support@getroomlift.com within 10 days of delivery and we'll arrange a refund or replacement. In most cases — including items that arrive damaged, defective, or incorrect — no return is required and a clear photo is enough. For change-of-mind returns of higher-value items we may ask you to return the item, and we'll provide instructions. Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method, typically within 5–10 business days. See our Refund Policy for full details.

7. Payment

Payments are processed by Shopify Payments, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Shop Pay. We never see or store your full card details. Your card is charged at the time the order is placed.

8. Taxes

Canadian residents are charged GST/HST/PST as applicable. US residents may see sales tax in jurisdictions where we have established economic nexus. UK and EU residents see VAT at checkout where Shopify supports collection. Tax is shown clearly on the order summary before you confirm.

9. Intellectual property

All site content (product photos, copy, logos, layouts) is owned by Roomlift or licensed to it. You may not copy, scrape, redistribute, or use it commercially without written permission. The "Roomlift" name and logo are unregistered trademarks of the business.

10. Acceptable use of the site

You agree not to: use the site for any unlawful purpose; harass or impersonate others through reviews or contact forms; attempt to bypass security; scrape or automate access without permission; introduce malware. We may suspend access if these terms are breached.

11. User-submitted content (reviews)

By submitting a product review, photo, or other content, you grant Roomlift a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display, reproduce, and adapt it for marketing and storefront use, with attribution where practical. You confirm the content is yours to share and does not infringe third-party rights. We may decline or remove reviews that are abusive, fraudulent, or off-topic.

12. Disclaimers

Products are provided "as described". Roomlift makes no implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose beyond what is required by your jurisdiction's consumer protection law (in Canada, the Sale of Goods Act and provincial consumer protection acts; in the EU, the Consumer Rights Directive; in the UK, the Consumer Rights Act 2015; in the US, applicable state law; in Australia, the Australian Consumer Law).

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Roomlift's total liability for any claim arising out of or related to a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant order. Roomlift is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death, personal injury, or any other liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Roomlift against claims arising from your misuse of the site or breach of these Terms.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without reference to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of these Terms or a purchase is subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario, Canada, except where your local consumer protection law requires a different forum.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms over time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the current version. Continued use of the site after a change is acceptance of the updated Terms.
