These Terms govern your use of getroomlift.com and any purchase you make from Roomlift. By using the site or placing an order, you agree to them.

1. Who we are

Roomlift, operating from Ontario, Canada. Contact: support@getroomlift.com

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old, and the age of majority where you live if that is higher, to place an order. By ordering, you confirm you meet that requirement.

3. Products and pricing

We describe products as accurately as we can, including dimensions, materials and intended use. Dimensions come from the manufacturer's own specification. Where we cannot confirm a figure, we leave it out rather than estimate it.

Wood, marble, leather and other natural materials vary from piece to piece. Grain, veining and colour will not match a photograph exactly, and screens render colour differently. That variation is the material behaving normally, not a defect.

Prices are in US dollars. We reserve the right to correct pricing errors and to limit purchase quantities.

4. Order acceptance

Your order is an offer to buy, not a binding contract. We may decline an order — for example if an item is out of stock, a price was listed in error, we cannot ship to the address given, or we suspect fraud. If we decline, we refund any charge in full.

5. Shipping and fulfilment

We ship within the United States only.

Orders are dispatched from warehouses in the United States operated by HomeRoots, our sourcing and fulfilment partner, and typically arrive within 5–10 business days. Almost everything ships by parcel carrier; four pieces in the catalog ship by freight (LTL) and are marked as such on their own product page, and those can take longer.

6. Returns and refunds

You may return an item by contacting us within 30 days of delivery. Returns must be authorised before you ship anything back, and items must be returned and received before a refund is issued — with one exception: where an item arrives damaged or defective, we may waive the return and refund or replace it on the strength of photographs.

Where a return is due to a damaged, defective or incorrect item, we cover the cost. On a change-of-mind return, you cover the return shipping. There is no restocking fee.

7. Payment

Payments are processed by our payment providers, including Shopify Payments, PayPal, Shop Pay, Apple Pay and Google Pay. We never see or store your full card details. Your card is charged when the order is placed.

8. Taxes

Sales tax is applied at checkout where we are required to collect it, based on your delivery address. Any tax due is shown on the order summary before you confirm.

9. Intellectual property

All site content — product photography, copy, logos and layouts — is owned by Roomlift or licensed to it. You may not copy, scrape, redistribute or use it commercially without written permission. The Roomlift name and logo are unregistered trademarks of the business.

10. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the site for any unlawful purpose, harass or impersonate others through our contact forms, attempt to bypass security, scrape or automate access without permission, or introduce malicious code. We may suspend access where these Terms are breached.

11. Content you submit

If you send us photographs or written content — for example with a support request or a review — you grant Roomlift a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use it in connection with your order and, where you have agreed, for marketing. You confirm the content is yours to share and does not infringe anyone else's rights. We may decline or remove content that is abusive, fraudulent or off-topic.

12. Disclaimers

Products are supplied as described. Beyond what your local consumer protection law requires, Roomlift makes no implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Nothing here limits rights you have under applicable consumer protection law — in Canada, provincial consumer protection legislation and the Sale of Goods Act; in the United States, applicable state law.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent the law allows, Roomlift's total liability for any claim arising from a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death, personal injury, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Roomlift against claims arising from your misuse of the site or your breach of these Terms.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without reference to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario, Canada, except where the consumer protection law that applies to you requires a different forum.

16. Changes

We may update these Terms. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
